CALENDAR

In January, we started researching and planning our Major and Minor projects. During the research and planning period, Rianna and I have met, and we will keep meeting to discuss different concepts and to start putting our ideas together. Things such as the Plot, aesthetic, and possible interviewees need clarification before doing the posts. We planned for the research to be done by the middle of February and for Coursework development to start afterwards. The only things that needed planning were the filming days. In rest, focus on doing coursework development and editing.

The yellow Highlighted days are the ones we know now as Filming days, as the 19th and 20th were planned for filming exhibitions and galleries such as Meron Gallery and The Art Museum Of Cluj. As these were the first days of filming, we decided to use them for getting used to the gear and making tests so that when the interviews came, I will have a minimum experience with filming ( test shots ).

Rianna made the following plan for the Yellow filming dates. We chose those exact dates because they best suit our needs. After contacting some artists from the list, we chose the best options, Sebastian Nasta and Ovidiu Avram.

I met Sebastian at a coffee on the 11th of February to discuss my project and what we need from him. He was contacted by phone number, and he was very open to helping us. After discussing, he explained that he has a big vernissage on the 20th of March with important people and artists attending, such as international superstar INNA. He told me that he would gladly help me but only after the 24 of March as he has a lot of planning and organizing to do for his upcoming show. This didn't really work for us as we were pressed by time. Then he told me that he would come up with a solution in the following days. Five days after the 16th, he called me with a proposition to interview another friend ( Oana Nastasche ) of his who paints and is at the start of her career. I, of course, said yes, and we locked in the date of 19 March as she was out of town till 10 March. I contacted her using the phone number that Sebastian gave me, and we settled on the 19 of March at 11:30 and the location to be at the Studio that she shared with her colleagues.

I met with Ovidiu to drink a coffee and discuss the project on the 16th of February after I reached out using WhatsApp. We talked for an hour and a half and concluded that he would help me as soon as possible. I asked him if he had a studio or somewhere that we could film, and he said that we would film at his own house, where he also paints in one part of it. The problem was that even he couldn't come before the 17th of March as he was away for an exposition in France. After some thought, I decided to go for it like this and do his interview on the 21st of March. He was available, and we settled on the 21st of March at 16:30

-18:00 Go to Meron Art Gallery and take shots of the art exhibited for montage footage

-19:00 Go to the art museum exhibition and film the exhibition happening there for more footage

20th February (visiting art exhibitions)

-14:00 Visit Art and Design High School, where art is exhibited by both then high schoolers as well as UAD (University of Art and Design) students

-16:00 Visit other art exhibited at UAD

19th March ( interview and extra footage)

-10:30 Meet at my house to get the equipment

-11:00 Leave to get to the art studio

Shot list

I thought of the shots that I wanted to do during filming, and together, we discussed them and put them on the table. Rianna helped me to create the table and to organize the ideas. This helps us figure out how to plan the usage of gear to meet as many conventions as possible.
