In the question 'How does your product engage with audiences and how would it be distributed as a real media text?' I decided to reply with a recording of myself responding to it

As I did before, in my first Creative Critical Reflection Post, I will first present the bare text here (the final draft), and further on the finished recording:

How does my magazine engage with the audience?

The magazine will be engaging for the audience because it covers a variety of topics. The connection of sound and style as the feature article will express the similarities of those two arts and the influence they provide for each other. Another engaging subject will be the news sections of the magazine, starting from new fashion trends to talking about up and coming artists this will be updated with each new magazine as the trends and artists change with time. The history section of the magazine will provide information on both topics (music and fashion) to a timeline (1800-2020). With each magazine, the time will advance by 10 years so this magazine will cover the years 1800-1810. Problems such as toxicity in the music industry will be addressed to create awareness in the public. Again with each new magazine, the subject will change but the the theme Funny and interesting unusual topics such as 50 is the new 25 will provide customers with a way to escape the normality of the world with something unusual. Near future events such as music and fashion festivals may intrigue people as they give a specific source of inspiration for each occasion. Viewers can directly engage with the magazine as it will have subjects made together with them such as Viewers Top Music Picks. Information that the public can't usually have, can be very intriguing for each viewer such as Behind the scenes images from photoshoots, festivals or tours. All the topics in the magazine are a way of communicating and engaging with each reader in a unique way.

How is my magazine being distributed?

If the magazine were to be an industry magazine the distribution format would have been physical and online because of the demand in each way. The physical is made for a 1/4 audience which targets the audience that wants a different experience from digital that gives the reader a stronger connection to the magazine. It creates a memory that remains with them physically in a printed format. The distribution of the physical format to the customers can be achieved in two ways, either by ordering the magazine online and a delivery system such as USP or the National Postal Service will send the product from the storage unit to the customer's desired location. Or the magazine can be sold in stores directly to customers, this will be harder to achieve as the process of a product to enter a store is very complicated. Online the magazine will be much easier to access as it will be only a few clicks away from any device with internet. There would be a site that gives information and previews about the magazine and a monthly subscription will allow each customer to access all the magazines. Also, the magazines can be bought separately for a higher price. This will create revenue which can be further invested into advertising, attracting more customers. For advertising the magazine, using social media platforms will be essential, for sharing previews of content along with interviews and positive feedback from readers. Teaming up with influencers in the fields of music and fashion will help further expand my reach. I may use promotion schemes such as giveaways and contests to create engagement. One other way of marketing Fashion Groove would be by distributing flyers at concerts and fashion shows to reach our target audience directly.
