Integration of technology

 For the question 'How did you integrate technologies – software, hardware and online – in this project?' I decided to make a Hip-hop-inspired response through a Spotify page where the lyrics will be the answer.

I believe that this project could have not been conducted without the proper use of technology overall. The use of operating systems such as IOS and WINDOWS was the key to creating the blog and magazine because my computer and phone work on those systems. I used my phone mostly for planning and communication with the models through apps such as Instagram, WhatsApp, reminders and calendars. The computer was by far the most important hardware it was used to do research using sites like Google, Pinterest and YouTube. Also, all the software I used for editing was on my computer either downloaded or online. I used Adobe Photoshop, Canva, Paint and Wix Studios. For production, I also needed more hardware such as the camera that I used during the photoshoot was a Sony A1, a professional camera that I was already familiar with as it belonged to my parents.  Practising with this camera also helped me understand better how cameras work, how angles are created and used, how to use shallow and deep focus and most importantly how to manage my time and camera memory well. I had to use this professional camera to take pictures with the models as well as 3 professional lights for proper lighting of the models and their clothes. During the photoshoot, a JBL speaker was used to give an ambience and friendly environment. Also, the main distribution method of the magazine will be online which will require a computer running for site maintenance and updates. I believe that it is important once more to take into consideration the fact that in this case using technology in the process of creating a magazine is inevitable, as it is the only way in which the conventions and final number of issues can be done effectively.
