Possible interviewees

Rianna and I started looking for people in Cluj who were involved in the art World. I came up with a few suggestions, but she also immediately mentioned a few well-known artists.

Sebastian Nasta is a hyperrealist painter fascinated with faces yet still attracted to abstraction. She discovered him at a local exhibition through his fascinating paintings. He was physically there as well, and she had a small conversation with him. Rianna told me that he is a great guy and most likely will help us if asked. We have his Instagram @sebastiannasta as a way of contacting him. I have also discovered that my dad knows him personally, as he has bought one of his paintings in the past. This gives us an even greater way of contacting him and a higher chance of him helping us.

Darius Hulea is an artist from Alba Iulia. Born in the 80's, he creates metal sculptures. A graduate of the University of Art and Design in Cluj-Napoca, specialized in Sculpture. In 2013, he was named the winner of the “Grigore Bradea” award. Rianna knew about this artist from social media as he has amazing posts with his art there

Nicolae Maniu is known for being the most sold Romanian painter. He paints in Magic Realism and Pittura Colta. He and my father have been great friends for 50 years already, and I have known him since I was a baby. The problem, however, is that he doesn't paint anymore and does not want anything to do with painting. Therefore, I am a bit hesitant about asking him to help me, as I don't want to put him in an uncomfortable position. I really am a big fan of his paintings, and Rianna likes him a lot as well. He will greatly help us as he is an international artist who has been in the art scene for over 50 years. Questions like the Evolution of art in Cluj will fit him.

Ovidiu Avram, the so-called Salvador Dali of Romania, is a contemporary artist based in Cluj, to which, again, I have access through my Father. He paints in a surrealistic style, which is rendered possible by his applying more unusual techniques in addition to classical oil painting on canvas. Ovidiu is a very friendly and warm individual who would 100% help us if asked.

Rianna also has other artists in mind from different fields, such as Bob Radulescu, Florin Piersic, Andrei Ghenie, and many others. For now, these look the most promising for our future project. Doing this post, we also came to realize that we are more interested in painters than other forms of artists, which can be a factor in the Story of the documentary.
