I finally brought my vision to life in this first draft I made by creating the simple cover and feature articles with the layout I wanted on each page. I am happy with the result even though I know that it still misses something. Using Photoshop I was able to achieve everything. It was hard but nevertheless a fun experience.

The process of the cover

The cover was made with a minimalistic theme in mind inspired by Vogue. Therefore I started by doing a cutout of the model so I could bring her forward. This creates a clean look which is what I am looking for in the cover.

The next step was to change the colour of the text and to make the picture a little smaller for it to fit in the magazine format. At this point, it started to look clean and I already liked it.

I didn't like the spacing between the letter F and A in the word FASHION, therefore I decided to add a new text with only the letter F so I can put it wherever I wanted to

Last but not least I wanted to add a timepiece in the cover so that each season can be differentiated from the other as a timeline of the magazine. F W comes from Fall/Winter 2024 which is the timeframe the magazine was made in.

This is the final draft cover of the magazine which I am proud and happy with as it fulfilled my desires that I had in the initial ideas post.
