Initial ideas

It all started one night when I was listening to music and it occurred to me that I listen to many different kinds of music, as my playlist was on shuffle. Then as I looked at the covers of each song I realized that they all have completely different art covers. And I said why won't I make something out of this idea as my final work. I began writing the ideas down in a document that you see here

After I wrote this down a period of brainstorming came which resulted in other ideas to implement in the final magazine. In my opinion, it is a unique magazine that would attract a lot of people who are interested in both categories, music and fashion.

Genre

After a lot of thinking I finally decided on my magazine's genre. Although I had a clear vision of what I wanted to achieve from before. I looked through numerous magazines, photographs, and articles but the final genre was going to be something "hybrid" between multiple styles. It is this: fashion combined with music.

Mood Board

The mood board I made comes from the idea I have for the magazine. Every letter from the word MOOD is presented in a different type of media (characters). The letter M is presented as Beethoven which expresses the classical music style with the violin and music notes, O is described by Tyler Durden (a fictional character) from the movie Fight Club which has a very unique aesthetic of a careless man, also representing the 2 sides of a human as the movie's topic dose. The third letter (O) is connected to Jon Bon Jovi (Icon of Rock and Roll) being a well known musician he is shown expressing himself by singing with his guitar in hand. The letter D is represented by an icon of the fashion industry Christian Dior. His iconic bags are shown and the logo of his famous brand is in the place of the letter D. This mood board won't directly represent the future magazine as it doesn't provide a clear idea about it but it showcases the idea of connecting which will be a big part of the magazine.
