Initial ideas

Concept

Initially, my colleague Rianna and I came up with a plan to divide the tasks efficiently. I decided to let her deal with the plot and ideas for the project, and I will be more involved in the production part. Dividing the tasks will allow us to move faster and be more organized during planning, filming, and editing. I will be the Producer and Rianna the Director for this whole project. Her main idea was to combine art with our hometown, Cluj-Napoca, Romania. She wants to interview new and old local artists and illustrate the art scene in Cluj. For example, by filming exhibitions, universities, and studios. We don't have a clear vision of the outcome for now, but I trust that it will come with time.

Access to people and locations

I can say we are lucky, as my parents are deeply connected with the art world of Cluj. Therefore, connecting to people in our interest will be easy as we mostly have all the contacts we need. She already told me about some artists that would be interesting to interview, such as Sebastian Nasta, who is a new local artist who paints in a Suprematism way. She knows him from social media and an art museum in Cluj. Talking about locations, most of the museums are free of entry, and for other places that we need to go, we would most likely need to pay a fee. If we want to film in other places, I think we will be able to access them in some way or the other as well.
