Feature article content

The content of the feature article (Fusion of Sound and Style) will express the reason for the chosen clothes for each model and why the certain style is associated with that genre of music.

My article will be 10 pages but only 4 of them will be made, in the genres of Rock, Country, Classic and Hip Hop all of the content will directly relate to the style of the whole page (clothes, fonts, colours...). The font used for the content will probably be Times New Roman.

ROCK

The Rock style became known in the early 1950s as a rebellious move. The first icon and the King of rock and roll, Elvis Presley became well known for his bold style which till then was not seen. The Jumpsuits, leather pieces and tight pants quickly made him stand out. The clothing style started gaining popularity as Elvis started rising in the music industry. Till then many bands emerged popularizing the style even more. Each band added their touch on the Style but the essence still remains the same to this day. From classic Rock came other variants like Hard Rock and Heavy Metal which adapted the styles to their music, each band in their own way. In our time Rock influences in fashion are seen commonly in leather jackets.

COUNTRY

The Fashion style of country music is known to reflect the spirit of Western American culture. This style is often linked to some specific items, such as Cowboy hats and boots. Another clothing piece that reminds people of Country music is denim. Denim is seen by most as the heart of country music, therefore the combination of denim and cowboy accessories creates the country style. These days denim is one of the most popular and recognizable clothing materials in the world mostly because of jeans

HIP HOP

Hip hop music appeared in the 1990s and since then become a well known music genre and also a fashion movement. The Hip hop artists are known to wear oversized clothes and also a lot of denim. Accessories are also important when thinking about this style. Baseball caps worn backwards became a statement piece for most rappers, and that made this specific accessory remind people of this genre. Nowadays, hip hop style manages to combine streetwear with luxury, as a lot of artists are collabing with high fashion brands to create fashion pieces that become known worldwide.

CLASSICAL

The most elegant part of music genres where luxury meets style is classical music. Because it is the oldest and most known across time music it has influenced all the genres we know today. The attire worn for events where classical music is heard is mostly Black-tie which is the most elegant way of dressing as for men it requires a tuxedo, bowtie, waistcoat and appropriate footwear. For women, the evening gown is required to be floor length and most of the time a simple and quiet colour. In current times this style is rarely seen, mostly at galas and formal events.
